Gil Jenkins is vice president of corporate communications & public affairs for Hannon Armstrong (NYSE: HASI), a leading investor in climate change solutions. In this position, he is responsible for leading the company’s communications and brand marketing activities, including media relations, digital marketing, social media, industry group partnerships, and employee communications. He also supports the firm’s community relations and government affairs activities. 

Before joining Hannon Armstrong, Gil served as vice president of communications for the American Council on Renewable Energy, and previously led Ogilvy’s clean tech & sustainability communications practice. Prior to Ogilvy, he held public relations agency roles at Weber Shandwick, Ketchum, and SHIFT Communications. 

Currently, Gil serves on the advisory boards for Business Climate Leaders, Land Trust Alliance, and The CLEEN Project. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst.
