Kari Huus is a journalist based in Seattle. She was a reporter for MSNBC.com from 1996-2014, with stints covering international business, foreign policy, and national affairs. Earlier, she reported on China for the Far Eastern Economic Review in Hong Kong, and Newsweek in Beijing. Since 2015, she has worked as managing editor for the website Money Talks News. Frank Gibney Jr. is a journalist, writer and editor. He spent most of the 1980s and 1990s as a correspondent, bureau chief and editor for Newsweek and TIME in different parts of the U.S. and East Asia. He has written extensively on Japan, China and Vietnam. He has also advised companies and non-profit organizations on branding and crisis management. Gibney lives on the Maine coast, where climate change is having a demonstrable effect on fisheries.
